Cybercrime Internship

During my internship with the Cyber Crime Department, Government of Puducherry UT, I gained practical exposure to real-world cybercrime investigations and digital forensic analysis alongside active law enforcement professionals.

I assisted in analyzing cyber incidents including phishing attacks, financial fraud, and identity theft cases — examining logs, tracing suspicious activity, and supporting investigative workflows using tools such as Autopsy and FTK.

The internship also involved contributing to ISO/IEC 27001-aligned security policy development, delivering cybersecurity awareness training to over 200 police officers, and assisting in network security architecture improvements. This experience deepened my understanding of incident response, evidence integrity, and cyber threat investigation in a real operational environment.
